Connect your agent.

UNBUNDLE is an MCP server. It is built for AI agents, not for people clicking a dashboard: your agent connects once, then buys any capability in the catalog one call at a time.

Two ways to pay:

  1. API key and credits. Redeem an invite code for a key, top up from €1, set a monthly spend limit. Redeem a code → No code? DM @AlexUnbundler on X.
  2. x402, no account. Your agent pays each call in USDC from its own wallet. Setup →

Not live yet. The service opens when invites go out.

Pick your agent

Claude Code · Codex CLI · Cursor · VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode) · Windsurf · Claude Desktop · Any other MCP client · Agents with a wallet: x402, no account

Then just ask

Your agent sees the tools and their prices. Ask in plain words:

post this launch to x, linkedin and bluesky

# the agent quotes first, posts, then shows the receipt

how much have I spent this month?

Claude Code

One command in your terminal. Works in the CLI, the desktop app and the IDE extensions.

# Add the server (once)

claude mcp add --transport http unbundle \
  https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer <your-key>"

# Check it is connected

claude mcp list

Codex CLI

Add the server to Codex's config file and keep the key in an environment variable.

# ~/.codex/config.toml

[mcp_servers.unbundle]
url = "https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "UNBUNDLE_API_KEY"

# your shell profile

export UNBUNDLE_API_KEY=<your-key>

Cursor

Global for all projects in ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or per project in .cursor/mcp.json.

# ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "unbundle": {
      "url": "https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your-key>" }
    }
  }
}

VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode)

Per workspace in .vscode/mcp.json. VS Code asks for the key once and stores it securely.

# .vscode/mcp.json

{
  "inputs": [
    { "type": "promptString", "id": "unbundle-key",
      "description": "UNBUNDLE API key", "password": true }
  ],
  "servers": {
    "unbundle": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:unbundle-key}" }
    }
  }
}

Windsurf

Add it to Windsurf's MCP config, then refresh the server list.

# ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "unbundle": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your-key>" }
    }
  }
}

Claude Desktop

Desktop connects to remote servers through the mcp-remote bridge, which passes your key as a header. Restart Claude after saving.

# claude_desktop_config.json (Settings → Developer → Edit Config)

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "unbundle": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["mcp-remote", "https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp",
               "--header", "Authorization:${UNBUNDLE_AUTH}"],
      "env": { "UNBUNDLE_AUTH": "Bearer <your-key>" }
    }
  }
}

Any other MCP client

Anything that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP can connect. You need two values.

# Server URL

https://mcp.unbundle.dev/mcp

# Header

Authorization: Bearer <your-key>

Agents with a wallet: x402, no account

No invite, no key, no balance. An agent with an x402 client and USDC on Base pays for each paid call itself. Free calls (quotes, status) cost nothing; each paid call answers with a 402 price first, the agent signs, and the call goes through.
